I present some of the pictures of the night-sky taken by me below.
Partial Solar Eclipse
Partial solar eclipse observed from Gandevi, Gujarat, India on June 21, 2020. (This composite image is made from various images; each of them is captured at different times and different camera conditions - exposure, ISO etc. - and later stacked to make this image.)
Comet Neowise (C/2020 F3)
I captured this image of Comet Neowise in July 2020 from Sonwadi, Gujarat, India. The image is noisy because of the light pollution from the nearby road traffic. Camera details: Canon EOS 1100D, f/4.5, 30" at 32mm and ISO1600.
M6 and M7 (Open Star Clusters)
My attempt to photograph Messier 6 (M6 - NGC 6405, also known as the butterfly cluster, top right) and Messier 7 (M7 - NGC 6475, lower left), dated August 2020. Both are open star clusters located around 1600 light-years and 980 light-years from the Earth, respectively. Exposure details: the present image is a stacked image of 20 images captured at a shutter speed of 1" with ISO6400 and f/5.0 at 155.0 mm on the night of July 30, 2020, using a Canon EOS 1100D and 75-300mm lens. Images registered and stacked using Siril and edited in GIMP.
The Milky Way
The Milky Way, clicked from the Wilson Hills near Dharampur in Gujarat, India. Image created by stacking (in DeepSkyStacker) 20 images of 30'' exposures each.
Mercury Transit of June 2016
Projection of the Sun during the Mercury transit of May 9, 2016 from Gandevi, Gujarat, India.
Trio of the Moon, Venus and Mercury
The Moon, Venus (the bright object in lower middle) and Mercury (faint dot in lower right) as seen on March 19, 2018 from Gandevi, Gujarat, India.
And, finally, not an Astro-Photo...
... but an image of the site I used to travel, located in the remote Wilson Hills near Dharampur, Gujarat, India, for night-sky watching and some fun astrophotography with my friends. Two telescopes (my 6-inch Celstron NexStar 6SE and 4-inch reflector) are seen in the far left corner. Jimmy bhai (first from the left), our driver, is observing the site while Nilam, Sagar, Hiren and Daxal (second, third, fourth and fifth from the left) are setting-up our tent for the night. Maulik (first from the right) is testing Daxal's binoculars. Your's truly is behind the camera that took this picture and hence is not in the image!
